www.fdsdy.org :: about us DSF is an independent non-governmental organization working in the sphere of civil control over the security system and the social adaptation and reintegration of former army servicemen. Through its activities DSF contributes to the democratic changes within Bulgarian society.  There is an increasing need in present-day Bulgarian society for an informed and attentive public opinion on issues of vital importance to the country: foreign policy, security, defense and civil control over the armed forces. The Democracy and Security foundation was founded as a part of a broader program having its principal objective the establishing of civil society in Bulgaria. Structure of DSF: DSF is managed by a Managing Board presided by Prof. Dimitar Ionchev, Doctor of sciences. DSF has three types of assistants: permanent, interim and volunteers. The interim assistants are hired for carrying out of specific projects. The contingent of collaborators of DSF outnumbers 130.  The head office of the Foundation is located in Sofia.
